Mission Illinois – Cannabis Dispensary in Chicago, Illinois

Hey everyone, so I was visiting Chicago recently and needed to find a good cannabis dispensary in Chicago. I ended up checking out this place, the Mission cannabis dispensary in Chicago. If you're looking for a recreational cannabis dispensary in Chicago, this is one I tried. It's also known as a cannabis dispensary in Illinois, of course, being in Chicago. Based on my visit and some reviews I saw, the staff is super friendly and attentive staff! I was visiting a friend from out of state and super glad I found this place. They seem quick and easy to shop. Rebekah came through helping me I got a really great deal on 7gs AND a free gummy definitely was no expecting to get this bang for my buck today! She definitely made my day no lie, really nice with a great smile too! Great customer service honestly. The staff is nice and the online ordering system is easy and my order is always ready by time I get there. It's a clean establishment with knowledgeable employees and a variety of products. We were asked for identification upon entry and you are directed to iPads to select and place your order. Since we did not know much about the products, one of the employees came from behind the counter to assist and educate us on the products. They’re efficient and quick. I have a medical card though. So the line for that is always quick. Plus they have a point system.. and I love a good discount. The atmosphere is inviting, clean and laid back. The budtenders are ahhmazing, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. And of course the product is 🔥 from the flower, to the edibles, even the secret menu pre rolls are gas. 10/10 Thank you guys for keeping me faded while I was visiting!! I love this place! I come to visit Chicago a lot for family, and a few locals recommend them to me. Someone who had good initial experiences said they will keep coming back, they’ve earned my patronage. Okay, but it sounds like things have really changed over time for some people who've been going there a while. One person mentioned, I absolutely HATE the changes. For one, it's Too expensive now. And there was a really bad experience recently according to a 4/2025 UPDATE: I bought the driest weed from here two days ago. Had me coughing and choking. Like it was on the shelf too long or something. They also no longer seem to be customer first. Because the guy on the phone was trying to tell me some of their weed can be dry but will still smoke good, so I should be fine. I am NOT fine. And why not just give the exchange I was requesting, unless that’s ALL they serve now is dry ass buds 🫩 The loyalty program got worse too. From our industry discount being knocked down from 20% (to now 10%). Our points now expire when you don't use them within a certain timeframe (it used to be you would have them as long as you needed to use them). And don't get me started on this terrible new website. It's so disorganized, stupid and hard to navigate. I really miss the clarity, organization, and overall better functionality of the old website. And it's ugly af. Someone who used to happily shop here regularly now barely comes, and that's only because it's the ONLY dispensary on the South Side of Chicago (which needs to change). They work in the industry and used to send people there – students, program participants, neighbors – but they don't do that anymore. It doesn't feel as special as it once did because now Mission operates like all the other low effort, profit over patient driven dispensaries. Despite the frustrations with the company changes, people still praise the actual budtenders. I will say the budtender's are great. They are friendly, courteous, helpful, and deserve to be tipped generously if you can. Lord knows they probably aren't being paid more than the minimum. Always great people working here, Emmett & Greg are excellent in particular. They are friendly, helpful and always quick to offer me a good deal when available. I appreciate their hard work and friendly customer service.
