Hey, so I was looking into picking up some stuff and was checking out different spots, you know, like finding a good cannabis dispensary in Chicago. I came across some reviews, and wow, people have had really different experiences! Someone said it seems like a cool place, but their experience wasn't so much. They felt it was overpriced on a lot of things. Nobody offered to help them until after they were done and got called to checkout, and even then, no conversation. They figured the employee must have been having a bad day. This person mentioned there were no welcome discounts, no first time customer anything, no plus selling, no advice. They had to ask to hear about any sales or specials, and all they got was a menu scroll. Definitely won't return to that one, they said. But then I heard some amazing things too! Like, "Hands down best dispensary in Chicago!" One person raved about the great selection, really friendly staff, and great prices. They specifically shouted out Tim, who was incredibly helpful in guiding them to choose what to smoke, and they truly appreciated his expertise. The atmosphere there was described as fantastic, and the staff is always so attentive and supportive. They'll definitely be returning soon! Another review talked about a Recreational cannabis dispensary in Chicago specifically, noting the budtenders are knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful. They found the prices competitive, especially for being in Chicago, and the products were very good. They mentioned online ordering is available. If you purchase more than $60, they even let you order from a secret menu! They also have Veteran & Military Discounts. Their infused prerolls were highlighted as some of the best someone had had. Highly recommend, they said. They added practical details too: it's located across from the New City Mall. Parking can be easy to miss, but there's free customer parking accessible from both Dayton & Clybourn at the rear of the building. Across the street is the Red Line North/Clybourn L station as well as the CTA Red Line. It's handicap accessible, with security on site and cameras outside. It sounds like a wonderful crew and they always look out for their customers. Great menu selection, great prices, at the forefront of the industry and setting the standard for an independently owned and operated illinois cannabis dispensary. Someone else had a fantastic experience with a specific budtender named Josh Adamson. They called him phenomenal, with extensive knowledge and a real, down to earth and honest attitude. He doesn’t feed you BS to make a sale, and it’s clear he’s about his smoke and wants those he serves to not have to smoke something he wouldn’t (unless the customer was adamant, of course). He's very passionate and this person would love to have him handle every Illinois dispensary exchange they have from now into perpetuity. If you smoke weed and you want to make sure what you buy is GOOD weed, ask for Josh Adamson to serve you. They said he'll set you up, no bs, no fodder, no fakeness and no confusion. Apparently, he's a real ass BUDTENDER, one of the last of a dying breed. 10/10! However, not everyone had that same positive first impression. Someone else mentioned their first time going there, and the staff came off rude and snobbish. In addition, the security guard kept following them around. They said they won't be back, though they did note it was a beautiful store. So yeah, definitely a mix of experiences when checking out a cannabis dispensary in Illinois. Sounds like finding the right budtender and catching staff on a good day makes a big difference! It really varies person to person.
