About Ascend Moca River North
Okay, so I've been hearing a lot about going to a cannabis dispensary in Chicago, and it seems like people have had a real mix of experiences. Right off the bat, many say the budtenders are always so friendly. Staff was super nice once we walked in the door, really made you feel welcomed. Even when walking in, multiple team members welcomed me and let me know how everything worked. It sounds like it can be refreshing to have an awesome experience like this after being turned off from other dispensary experiences. The process on kiosk was quick and easygoing, and there are lots to choose from. I mean lots. Specifically at Ascend cannabis dispensary in Chicago, some folks highlight the service. Noe provided great service this morning! Our budtender, yea you heard it right, Gage was awesome too, he had cool pins and personality. Leo guided me through the menu and made me comfortable enough to even try some new products I am very pleased with. People mention Quick and easy and prices are great, with some even saying they have the BEST PRICES IN CHICAGO! They were having a great sale, like 3 1/8th for $75 was the special. Now, switching gears a bit, visiting a recreational cannabis dispensary in Chicago isn't always perfect. Some people feel it’s a shame because they used to like a spot, but the prices are insane and the staff can’t be bothered to do the bare minimum. Being in from Cali, someone mentioned they are spoiled with their weed prices and weren’t ready to spend $100 on 11grams, especially until those taxes start taxing. Then there are the not-so-great experiences. One person went in for a disposable vape cart that was for a good price (i assumed) until they found out why. The cart is defective and they got a terrible and i mean horrendous taste! Out of all the years consuming cannabis products, they had never experienced such a bad taste and never expected it form a Dispensary. The cart had a plastic burt chemical taste and they were very disappointed. They tried reaching out to customer service in hopes they could get a refund or some kind of store credit but no response… They felt like Ascend finessed them out of $90, and the taste was so bad they didn’t even want to continue smoking it. Another issue involved an online order that was cancelled without someone's knowledge. Then when they picked up the product, they manually put the order in the computer and ended up coming home with HALF the weight in flower than originally ordered and actually paid $3 more than they would have with the CORRECT weight of flower from their original order. They tried to call customer service and went straight to voicemail. They were very displeased as they, like so many right now, are on a tight budget. This was their first problem, but it made them very hesitant to return. Thinking more broadly about being a cannabis dispensary in Illinois, some people feel strongly that these big corporate chains are the absolute worst. One person said they really like to support the neighborhood, but this place just makes it impossible. They wish Illinois would reform their weed laws and think you’re better off just going to Michigan (or anywhere else, really) :( Despite these negatives, some people still had great product experiences; the smell and quality taste/ high was perfect for that Cali visitor, who gave it 10/10 I recommend. Some budtenders are always looking out for you, and people thank them for the assists! And some folks definitely will be coming back...weekly lol. But yeah, others are now very hesitant to return. It really seems to depend on your visit and what happens.
